I am a 24-year-old, chatty and friendly young man with Muscular Dystrophy and a full time electric wheelchair user.

I am looking for a reliable person to join my care team.

I would like to go out to concerts, football matches and my football training (on Sundays) and any other social events. The work will mainly be Friday nights or weekends depending on when the event is that I wish to attend. I'm looking for someone who is flexible to work with me.

I am based in East Peckham (Kent) so you must be able to get to my home base easily. The role will require you to drive my automatic WAV van, so a full clean driving license is essential, you will need to be over 25 due to insurance restrictions.

There may be an opportunity to work additional hours on a Wednesday evening or weekdays to cover other carers holiday and sickness.

I will need you to be able to support me with any tasks I need whilst out (I will direct as necessary) and this will require you to attend my personal care needs as required.

Previous experience of care would be beneficial, specifically supporting a wheel chair user, however full training will be given to suit my circumstances.

Need to be a non-smoker due to my health and locations of work (i.e. Schools)

Rate of Pay 14 per hour, 5.6 weeks statutory holiday entitlement (pro Rata) and access to Nest Pension Scheme.

Enhanced DBS is required, if you do not already have this, I can arrange for one to be carried out for you and you will be contractually required to maintain this on the update service.
