Job Description

We are looking for a kind, compassionate, patient and friendly individual, to give support and company at home to a lovely elderly woman in Stow.

Help with simple daily tasks include:

giving her breakfast and one other main meal per day,

keeping on top of household duties (laundry, washing up, making the bed etc)

occasional slow walks in local area (pushing a wheelchair, though she can walk short distances eg around the house)

Gentle and friendly conversation and company

Prompting to take medication

help with personal care (shower and dressing)

Helping her maintain her independence as much as possible, reassuring and giving her confidence to carry out the tasks which she is still able to do for herself.

Terms:

Hourly rate: 14.50

Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata

Post subject to a 3 month probationary period

Mileage/travel costs to be discussed with employer

Start date is likely to be late October to early November.

5 days a week, 4 hours a day, split shifts. (Hours and days are negotiable, but two to three visits a day would be ideal.)

Her family is in the village and you would have regular contact, support and interaction with them.

Pay: 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
