13.50 per hour/per year 25,974 and up to 29,928 with sleep ins
Plus:
65.00 per sleep-in (working approx. 5 sleep ins per month up to 4745 per year)
Full time:
37 Hours per week - Shifts & Sleep In's. Every other weekend working

Our ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people through paid employment or a volunteering role and will be able to work positively with young people and ensure that they achieve significant progress. They will enable children and young people to manage risk by providing support, guidance and information on health and safety and support them in managing their physical environment. This requires the candidate to understand and work in adherence with risk assessments and risk management plans.

The post holder will be required to work 'Out of Normal Office Hours' on a shift rota basis to include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The rota includes working every other weekend on a six week rolling rota.

After successfully completing six months in employment we will put you on the Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce course. For those aspiring managers that have completed the level 3 diploma and show management potential we can offer a management training programme and then management experience opportunities alongside a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP). This will mean your next career move could be a deputy manager or manager of 16+ Supported Accommodation or Residential Children's Homes.

Person Specification
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. IT skills necessary to undertake all administrative and reporting requirements.-Essential* Understanding of child protection, safeguarding and vulnerable adults issues- Essential* Practical knowledge of health and safety issues- Essential* Able to positively engage with young people and experience of previous engagement with young people.-Essential* Experience in maintaining and creating good written records of work. Demonstrate evidencing outcomes achieved with young people.- Essential* A good knowledge of the resources available to Care Leavers (benefits, learning and work opportunities, legislation about their rights to social services support and housing) - and the ability to be seen as a reliable source of advice. Desirable* Experience of working and engaging as part of a team.-Essential* A strong and demonstrable commitment to promoting equality and diversity in all work undertaken. - Essential* Experience in managing difficult and challenging behaviours- Essential* Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce or similar Level 3 qualification e.g. AS and A levels, NVQs Level 3, Applied A Levels, BTEC First Certificates and Diplomas, City and Guilds Advanced, or NQF Level 4 Certificates of Higher Education
