We are now looking for a passionate, experienced
Deputy Manager
to support the day-to-day running of the service and ensure the highest standards of care and support are consistently delivered.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the operation of our supported living home. You'll lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, and provide guidance to ensure our young people receive consistent, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Assist the Registered Manager in leading and supervising the care staff and young resident(s).
Care Planning:
Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans, ensuring children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the homes are compliant with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practice guidelines, maintaining our high standards of care.
Support and Mentorship:
Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to the care team to enhance their skills and professional development.
Crisis Management:
Effectively handle and resolve critical situations to ensure the safety of children and staff.
Collaboration:
Work with external agencies, schools, and families
Administration:
Oversee rotas, budgeting, and maintain accurate records and reports.
On Call:
Participate in the on-call rota and provide shift cover where needed
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong background in working with vulnerable young people in a residential or semi-independent setting. You should be confident, compassionate, and resilient, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Essential:
Experience working with 16-18 year olds in supported living or a similar setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols
Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Health & Social Care or Children & Young People
A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Supervisory or management experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
Knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and legislation relevant to supported accommodation
