We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care services for individuals in supported living environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the lives of those with varying needs, including Learning Disability, Autism and dementia care a. This role involves managing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a supportive environment for both tenants and staff.
Tasks of the Role.
Organisational
To attend review meetings externally, when required.
To provide advice to the Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees when required.
To assist in the recruitment and selection of staff.
To develop and deliver a range of training courses to all staff across the services. This includes, but not an exhausted list, moving and handling training, Medication and mental capacity training.
To co-operate and participate in any formal investigation or hearing.
Service Specific
To work with other managers in service division to provide a point of contact during office hours
To ensure that the service conforms with the quality standards and requirements of Independent Options, Care Quality Commission (CQC), purchasers and other funding bodies.
To work within the budget set by the Senior Management Team to provide the best value service possible whilst meeting the needs/allocation of each service user.
Team Specific
To participate in the service rota, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and waking night duties in an emergency situation.
To work alongside the Manager - Resources in preparing and maintaining the service rota within the internal software package.
To assist in the day-to-day management of the team.
To assist in the development of the services provided.
To be the main representative of the team as and when required by the Supported Living Registered Manager.
To assist the Supported Living Registered Manager in the implementation of the Business Plan for the team.
To Lead and support each team to provide good quality person centred services.
To provide regular personal support, supervision and appraisal for support staff, as appropriate.
To provide day-to-day personal support for team members.
To regularly visit properties to monitor standards within the house and staff performance.
To ensure actions are completed in relation to quality audits, H&S audits and Resource Management.
To adhere to the organisation's Finance Procedures.
To assist the Supported Living Registered Manager to liaise with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Commissioners where appropriate.
To assist the Supported Living Registered Manager to ensure that each service user has documented Assessments, Support Plan, Individual Risk Assessments and Keyworker information.
To be aware of and implement Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
To assist the Supported Living Registered Manager to liaise with relatives of tenants.
To assist the Supported Living Registered Manager to respond positively and quickly to any complaints or feedback from service users, relatives or other agencies.
To chair team meetings as required by the Supported Living Registered Manager.
Individual Specific
To adopt a flexible approach to working arrangements in order to support the team and meet the individual requirements of service users.
To notify the Supported Living Registered Manager of planned whereabouts.
To accept and participate in staff supervision sessions, team meetings and appropriate training programmes, including involvement in the NVQ Programme.
To identify own training and development needs in discussion with the line manager.
To carry out all work in a manner that is consistent with the aims and service principles of Independent Options.
To observe all written policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice agreed by Independent Options.
To maintain up to date awareness of legislation and good practice related to the specific service group.
To work within the performance management system for Independent Options.
To follow guidance provided by the Senior Management Team to provide services.
Any other duties as required by the Senior Management Team and/or Board of Trustees.

Qualifications
NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
Proven management and supervisory experience in a Supported Living setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement care plans
Experience in Supported Living, assisted living, nursing home, or senior care environments
Knowledge of Learning disability and Autism care practices
Familiarity with medication administration and Supported Living services
