Support Workers
to provide two-to-one and group support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex physical needs such as spinal injuries.
This particular service is a female with the following conditions:
Acquired Brain Injury
Autism
Left Sided Hemiplegia
Left Sided Hearing Loss
Oppositional Defiance Disorder
Mild Learning Disabilities
What You'll Do
Help individuals develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, and household tasks.
Provide tailored support plans that encourage independence, confidence, and community involvement.
Assist with personal care when required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
Accompany individuals to appointments, social activities, education, or work placements.
Promote positive behaviour strategies and help manage challenges calmly and professionally.
Administer medications (if trained/authorised) and record accurate documentation of care and progress.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that fosters growth and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to empowering people with learning disabilities.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Previous experience in supported living, special education, or learning-disability care is an advantage.
Knowledge of autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with service users and their families.
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, or sleep-in shifts as required.
Full UK Driver's Licence.
