Barnardo\'s has been delivering Children\'s Centres (now Emerging Family Hubs) in Plymouth since 2011 and currently oversees the delivery of 4 clusters of Emerging Family Hubs. As part of this transformation we are seeking an individual who under the supervision and guidance of a Home learning and communication manager, can co-ordinate and support the delivery of 1:1 and group sessions aimed at enhancing children\'s communication and the home learning environment. The role is advertised at full time (37 hours) however consideration will be given to part time and flexible working requests with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week (3 days) required.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • 1:1 PEEP and communication support to children, young people and their families
  • Co-ordination of PEEP and Chatterbox sessions which will include planning, organising and the delivery of the sessions alongside colleagues
  • Promotion of home learning and early communication to wider professionals and stakeholders
  • Coordination and facilitation of virtual home learning and early communication sessions both 1:1 and in groups
A driving licence and access to own transport is desirable, however, candidates who don\'t drive or have access to a car will be considered where they can demonstrate their ability to access all areas of the city as required; mileage expenses are payable and reasonable adjustments can be made where required
