Description

Breedon Surfacing provide a wide range of asphalt surfacing services across the UK, delivering a comprehensive asphalt surfacing solution for the construction and maintenance of public highways; infrastructure; residential and industrial developments and minor works. Our client base ranges from domestic and commercial clients to large contractors, local authorities and government bodies.

The Surfacing Operative is responsible for the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of frontline contract surfacing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out work in accordance with instructions given by the Foreman
• Ensure all plant and equipment is properly maintained, safe to use and operated in the manner for which it was designed
• Maintain all PPE to a high standard to ensure it is in a good serviceable condition
• Support less experienced operatives
• Maintain professional working practices
• Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures and safety commitments
• Report all accidents, incidents, near miss events, issues and concerns
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements of the specification

Key Requirements

• CSCS card and driving license would be preferred, but not essential as full construction industry training will be given to the right candidate.
• A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery - we\'d love to hear about why you chose us and what interests you about this role!
