Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Scrub Nurse to join team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical care, with experience in plastic surgery considered an advantage, though not essential. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care before, during, and after surgical procedures

Duties:

Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies Scrub in and assist the surgical team throughout procedures Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control practices at all times Practice sterilisation and understand the principles of decontamination and disinfection Confidently handle and pass surgical instruments to the surgeon in a safe, timely, and precise manner Be fully familiar with surgical trays, instruments, sutures, and equipment required for various procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to changes during surgery Ensure all counts (instruments, swabs, sharps) are correct and documented Monitor the surgical environment to ensure patient and team safety Assist with positioning of the patient and application of sterile drapes Accurately document intraoperative care and support with post-operative patient care as required Work collaboratively with the wider theatre team including surgeons, anaesthetists, and recovery staff
Experience:

Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration Proven experience working in an Operating Room setting In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures Strong patient care skills with attention to detail and compassion Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Work well in a team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 36,000.00-42,000.00 per year
