We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Surveillance Operator to monitor premises and ensure the safety and security of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating surveillance equipment, observing activities, and reporting any suspicious or unusual behaviour. Responsibilities

Operate CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to monitor designated areas continuously. Observe activities in real-time, noting any irregular or suspicious behaviour. Document incidents accurately through detailed report writing, ensuring clarity and precision. Respond promptly to security alerts or emergencies, following established protocols. Maintain the surveillance system, ensuring all equipment functions correctly at all times. Assist with first aid procedures if necessary, providing immediate support until emergency services arrive. Conduct regular patrols of the premises as required to supplement surveillance efforts. Collaborate with security team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of all areas.

Qualifications

Prior experience in surveillance or security roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent report writing abilities to document incidents clearly and accurately. Basic first aid knowledge is desirable; certification will be considered an asset. Ability to remain alert during long shifts and handle stressful situations calmly. Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including nights or weekends if necessary. This role is vital in maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring and prompt response to incidents.
