St Leger Homes is an award-winning, customer focused social housing provider that manages 20,000 homes on behalf of Doncaster Council and an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Damp, Mould and Disrepair Team.

To ensure that we meet all regulations and obligations in relation to Damp and Mould, we are seeking to appoint a Damp and Mould Surveyor within the small, yet growing, team.
Reporting to the Damp and Mould Operations Manager, the post holder will be working closely within a small team of surveyors and officer's to ensure reported Damp and Mould Issue's reported in tenants homes are investigated and remediated effectively and to a high standard.
Key duties of this role include:
Conduct thorough surveys of properties to identify damp and mould issues through the use of specialist equipment.
Provide detailed reports on property conditions and necessary repairs.
Recommend effective solutions to address damp and mould problems.
Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
Educating residents on how they can help manage condensation related issues within their home.
The successful candidate will form part of a wider ambitious and well performing assets and commercial team, delivering a range of asset management, investment and commercial activities.
Candidate Requirements:
A level 4 qualification, such as HNC, NVQ level 4 or equivalent in building, construction or surveying or a commitment to achieving one within 2 years of being appointed.
Experience of diagnosing and treating damp and mould, alongside wider, good working knowledge of construction types and building methods in order to effectively identify defects in domestic and non-domestic assets.
Good communication skills and the ability to deliver technical and potentially unfavourable outcomes to customers.
Experience of working with a range of IT systems / packages including Microsoft Office and utilising PDAs, tablets or other electronic devises.
Experience of working within the housing or construction industry.
