Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing maintenance and repair projects, preparing detailed cost estimates. You will play a key role in project planning, site assessments, and client communication to support our ongoing maintenance contracts

.



Key Responsibilities:



Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess maintenance and repair requirements. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations for maintenance projects. Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project details. Identify potential risks and areas for cost savings or efficiencies. Assist in project planning and scheduling. Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements. Maintain detailed records of estimates, site visits, and communications. Support project managers during the tender process and during project execution as needed. Keep up-to-date with current market rates, materials, and industry regulations in Scotland

Qualifications & Skills:



Proven experience as a Surveyor/Estimator within maintenance, facilities management, or construction. Strong knowledge of maintenance works, building services, and repair techniques. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Scotland.

Desirable:



Relevant qualifications such as BSc in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent. Familiarity with Scottish building regulations and standards. Experience with health & safety regulations relevant to maintenance work.
