Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls. Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Stay updated on current sushi trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, ensuring their satisfaction with their meals.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Previous experience specifically in sushi preparation is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
