We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, cooking rice, and assembling rolls. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Stay updated on current trends in sushi preparation and presentation techniques. Provide excellent service by interacting with customers when necessary, sharing knowledge about menu items.

Experience

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on sushi preparation; prior experience as a Sushi Chef is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team. A passion for Japanese cuisine and an eagerness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
