Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant standards Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing offerings Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils Assist in meal preparation for other dishes as required by the kitchen team Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management Provide excellent service by ensuring timely delivery of dishes to customers

Experience

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting Strong culinary skills with a focus on sushi preparation and presentation Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Previous experience in meal preparation and cooking techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
