JOB TITLE: Sustainability Analyst
LOCATION: Aylesford, Kent
WORKING HOURS: 8am - 4.30pm
A bit about the role...
We are seeking a passionate and analytical Sustainability Analyst to join our team and support transformative change across industries. This role offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge of ESG and sustainability, while contributing to initiatives that drive meaningful environmental and social progress.
In this role, you will conduct in-depth research and analysis, deliver insights through compelling presentations, and gain firsthand experience in how businesses are advancing their sustainability performance. You'll bring a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to see the bigger picture--all while managing complex projects with precision and care.
The ideal candidate will take full ownership of their work, show intellectual curiosity, and offer solutions grounded in self-directed research. A commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous learning is essential.
Some of the key responsibilities
Help Implement sustainability strategy and embed sustainability by design into everything we do.
Contribute to the best practice development based on the results of the internal sustainability footprint assessment.
Contribute to data collection of a global business.
Work with the supply chain to collect crucial data for suppliers.
Implement carbon reduction projects.
Work on delivering environmental certificates and documentation.
Report sustainability trends against Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and provide creative alternatives and recommendations to maximize positive impact and support continued development and execution of our sustainability strategies (internal & external focus).
Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on sustainability status.
Drive process improvement and internal initiatives that result in positive impact on sustainable practices adoption.
Monitor industry trends, standard methodologies and emerging technology advancements in carbon emissions and sustainability to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Other tasks to support the team and wider business as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or other related fields of study.
Proven professional experience in Sustainability or Environmental management.
Well informed in current sustainability subjects and business environments
Strong analytical, planning and project management skills with acute attention to detail
A roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and willingness to "pitch in" attitude.
Confident communicator with a dynamic and flexible attitude with the ability to create rapport to work with people at all levels in the organisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
