Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Sustainability Engagement Officer as a member of the Environmental Sustainability team to provide effective behaviour change sustainability engagement programs in support of the Sustainability Engagement Strategy and action plan. The Environmental Sustainability Team are an award winning innovative team, passionate about making positive change to proactively address the climate and biodiversity crisis, aiming to be a first class university in the Sustainability league tables. Working hours for the post of Sustainability Engagement Officer:

This is a full time post which is 37 hours, typically Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm, but Oxford Brookes is supportive of flexible working, part time working and job sharing. Overall Purpose of the post of Sustainability Engagement Officer:

To support the Head of Environmental Sustainability in delivering effective behaviour change sustainability engagement programs in support of the Sustainability Engagement Strategy and action plan. Work proactively with students and the Brookes Union to deliver effective change and support the union to reach its sustainability objectives. Manage sustainability communications, using a range of social media platforms and reporting on behalf of the team in collaboration with the Marketing, Recruitment and Events Directorate. Deliver effective student and staff induction programs, educational programs, campaigns and events.

Qualifications and Experience for the post of Sustainability Engagement Officer:

Qualifications:

Degree in environmental management or relevant subject, such as marketing, communication and events management.

Experience required for post:

Experience in delivering and supporting behaviour change programs, events and marketing campaigns ideally within a sustainability service and managing projects for improving environmental performance.
