Job Description

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority ("the Authority") regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for supervision of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.

SUSTAINABLE FINANCE AND ESG ADVISER (TWO-YEAR LIMITED TERM APPOINTMENT)

An exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Sustainable Finance and ESG Adviser working within the Policy & Risk Division.





The successful candidate will have a passion, professional pragmatism and commitment to sustainability work, practices and developments. Candidates are expected to have direct and in-depth knowledge of environmental issues, climate change risk and management, climate/green finance, responsible investment, disclosure regimes, international policy developments and regulatory frameworks and how they relate to material business risks and opportunities.



The Authority seeks the services of a skilled and capable individual to:



Lead and manage the development and implementation of the Authority's contribution to the Isle of Man's Sustainable Finance Initiative ('IOMSFI') in terms of the regulatory environment; and Lead a review and update of the Authority's regulatory requirements, policy and guidance on environmental, social and governance ('ESG') matters.
