Sustainable Sourcing Assistant Manager

Location - Central London

Contract - 12 Months

Salary - \xc2\xa323.34 per hour equivalent to \xc2\xa344,000K per annum

Hybrid role, 2-3 days in office per week (some travel to South once a month)

My client is a global FMCG company and they are now looking for a Sustainable Sourcing Assistant Manager, you will provide essential support to our projects, with a particular focus on the projects in the UK. Your role will bridge between the Business Operational Sustainability Team and the procurement team.

Your responsibilities in the role

  • Support the Regenerative Agriculture projects in the soy/rapeseed portfolio, with a main focus on the company\'s project in the UK.
  • Provide overall administrative support to the team, including developing and implementing the Net zero and Regenerative Agriculture program roadmap for Vegetable Oils, and managing Sustainable sourcing programs.
  • Assist in building net zero and regen ag roadmaps for different clusters and develop toolkits for procurement managers to implement the roadmap.
  • Develop the company RegenAg program in UK, to share stories of farms with internal and external stakeholders and facilitate the transition towards regenerative agriculture.
  • Facilitate effective transition implementation of RegenAg programs by bridging between BOS (Regen Ag, Climate) and Commodities procurement.
  • Support partnerships with suppliers, industry collaboration, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in the Business Operation Sustainability team to execute Regenerative agriculture and decarbonization plans and provide updates to the business.
  • Work with Procurement Managers to develop Regen Ag roadmaps on Vegetable oil and concerned portfolios.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including managing budgets and reports, and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Ensure timely and complete submission of reports by program implementing partners.
  • Prepare portfolio insights and reports for presentation to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal Non-Deforestation team on reporting needs and inputs for activities including verification audits and traceability.
  • Maintain records for program governance as required by external auditors.
  • Collate and validate Dashboard data for quarterly and annual SUSO (Sustainable Sourcing) reporting.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or buying role.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within deadlines.
  • Passion for designing and maintaining optimal processes and systems.
  • Interest in sustainability and sustainable development.
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with international teams.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Analytical and reporting skills, or a desire to develop them.
  • Experience in communication and marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) is essential, knowledge of Procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) and Tableau is preferable.
