What you will do:
Reporting to the Managing Director, Hoist Group by Planet, SVP Commercial will be a key member of the Hoist Group Management Team. They will lead the Commercial Team, which today comprises 4x core responsibilities:The Global Key Account Management (GKAM) Team that looks after and develops business through Frame Agreements/Preferred Partnerships with the world's major hotel chains.
The EMEA Direct Sales Team who service the Commercial needs of more than 3,000 customers ranging from Northern Norway to Cape Town South Africa, from Ireland in the West to the Persian Gulf in the East.
The Indirect Channels function that looks after a growing network of Partners in territories Hoist Group by Planet does not serve directly today.
And finally the Hoist Group by Planet Marketing function.
SVP Commercial will manage Pipeline, secure P&L and be a cornerstone of the annual budgeting process
They will manage CRM, and report on progress down to Individual Contributor level. SVP Commercial will also be responsible for the flow of information both up and down the Hoist Group by Planet organization.
SVP Commercial will leverage their product, industry and technology knowledge to nurture a network of C-Level contacts within Hoist Group by Planet's target customer segments, which may include Hotel Operators (chains e.g. Accor, Marriott), Hotel Ownership Groups & Management Groups.
SVP Commercial will also foster a continued close partnership with strategic technology vendors e.g. Cisco, HPE, Ruckus, Samsung, LG.
SVP Commercial will support, measure, coach, drive and mentor the teams performing the Commercial functions to "get them in the door", and ensure all are equipped to build business through proactively selling the full suite of Networking products (Guest Internet, IPTV, Casting etc)
SVP Commercial will provide support and oversight of large bids - RFPs/tenders etc, and be actively involved in closing deals when the need arises
SVP Commercial will also work closely with their Hoist Group by Planet Management Team colleagues, including (but not limited to):Operations: Interact daily to ensure optimized design and delivery of "right first time" solutions, and be a feedback loop from major customers to ensure our culture of Delivery Excellence continues.
Support & Service Management: Work closely with the assigned operational Service Managers & the central Support Organisation to drive ongoing Service Excellence
Product & Technology: Directly input into the development of new products & business models to help capture market share
Finance: Ensure accuracy of data, market penetration & performance versus KPIs (such as Bookings, P&L achievement); work with Finance to produce Management Reporting and feedback
HR: Ensure the welfare and development of Hoist Group by Planet employees
Who you are:A passion for sales: Must have proven ability to architect and drive through sales in a fast-growing company.
Must demonstrate a track record of leading teams to success, ideally within Hospitality and preferably with a similar technology portfolio to Hoist Group's core proposition of Networking, High Speed Internet Access and/or IPTV & Casting.
Self-management: Must display evidence of resilience, drive, self-control and personal presentation.
A planner and executer - must demonstrate strategic vision, the ability to plan (including shaping the organization appropriately), the ability to tactically implement, and delivery of results against budget/target
Sales Budget Ownership: Define and execute the sales budget
Sales Strategy: Define and execute the sales strategy in the different regions/countries
Communication skills: These must be experienced and strong.
Interpersonal Skills: Must display integrity, reliability and strong interpersonal skills - English is essential, proficiency in other languages would be a plus.
Team work: Must be able to work with and lead a dynamic sales team.
Time Management: Must have proven time management skills and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
Change management: Must enjoy working in a fast growing and changing Company. Flexibility is essential.
Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) & excellent IT skills inc. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Corporate IT systems such as Outlook
