Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming, with the ability to educate individuals of all ages and skill levels. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in promoting water safety, teaching swimming techniques, and fostering a love for swimming among participants.

Responsibilities

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. Assess the skill levels of students and tailor lessons to meet their specific needs. Educate participants on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills. Develop lesson plans that incorporate various swimming techniques and activities. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool area. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

Proven experience in teaching swimming is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety, and rescue procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of all ages. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. A passion for educating others and promoting a healthy lifestyle through swimming. Must possess patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching.
