Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commitment to educating individuals of all ages in swimming techniques and water safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for swimming while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of each student, focusing on skill development and water safety. Educate students on proper swimming techniques, breathing methods, and stroke mechanics. Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a vigilant presence during lessons. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns. Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices in swim instruction and water safety.

Experience

Previous experience in swim instruction is preferred but not mandatory. Must hold a qualification in Swim teaching, Swim England level 2 or STA. In date Enhanced DBS & Safeguarding Certificate Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with students of all ages. A solid understanding of swimming techniques and water safety practices. Certification NPLQ or Full NRASTC teacher rescue is advantageous but not essencial at the time of application. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
