We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for teaching, plan and deliver fun and progressive lessons, provide high-quality swimming instruction to children using the Swim England Learn To Swim Framework and ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Candidates must be reliable with excellent communication skills.
Along with SEQ 2 or STA full teaching qualifications, candidates should also have experience in Baby, toddler and pre-school teaching as the needs of the service requires both learn to swim and pre-school frameworks.
Hours of work: Tuesdays: 12.00pm to 14.00pm (x1 post Pre-school qualification)
Sundays: 13.30pm to 17.00pm (x2 posts SEQ 2 or equivalent)
Please note, this is a self employed role. Hours may increase due to the demand of the business.
Responsibilities
Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of each student.
Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
Maintain a clean and organised teaching environment, including the pool area and equipment.
Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance instructional skills.
Skills
Proven experience in swimming.
Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey instructions.
Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A strong understanding of water safety practices and emergency procedures.
