Newton Abbot Leisure Centre/Dawlish Leisure Centre
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Swimming Teacher to join our team!
You will plan and deliver engaging swimming lesson for all ages and skill levels, whilst ensuring all lessons are delivered to the Swim England standard.
We deliver swimming lessons during the day, offering high quality lessons to the local primary schools, as well as afterschool and weekend lessons for our own Swim School.

At Teignbridge Leisure, you can acquire the necessary qualifications through our Training Courses. We welcome applicants who are planning on taking or currently undertaking their Level 2 swimming teaching qualification.
Whether already qualified or completely new to the poolside, Teignbridge Leisure will support and train successful applicants to become confident, professional Swim Teachers.
Hours required:
Newton Abbot Leisure Centre
Hours vary, but typically between 15:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday, and Saturday and Sunday 08:30 - 10:30.

Monday 16:00 - 17:30
Tuesday 16:00 - 18:00
Wednesday 16:00 - 18:00
Daytime (afternoon) cover for school lessons.
Additional hours may be available which can be discussed at interview.

You are a Teignbridge District Council fit if you:
Have a love for teaching swimming and water safety.
Are able to build a rapport and have good communication skills with swimmers and parents.
Are able to adapt your teaching style to meet the different needs of your swimmers.
Have an understanding of correct swimming techniques and creative teaching ideas.
The ideal swimming teacher will have a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification.
