Systems Administrator - assisting Network Administrators, as well as supporting local ERP and business software.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Administration Assistance:
Act as a key support resource for Network Administrators, assisting with the management of network infrastructure and troubleshooting network issues.
Contribute to network security measures, performance monitoring, and optimization efforts.
2. Advanced Technical Support:
Deliver high-level technical support across various IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring efficient resolution of complex issues.
Implement and manage virtualization environments and cloud-based services.
3. Project Participation and Deployment:
Actively participate in IT projects, including system deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
Assist in the planning and execution of these projects, ensuring alignment with broader IT strategies.
4. System Maintenance and Optimization:
Perform regular system maintenance, ensuring the stability and security of IT infrastructure.
Engage in the optimization of IT processes through scripting and automation.
5. User Support and Training:
Provide expert support and training to end-users, enhancing their understanding and efficient use of IT systems.
Develop and maintain user guides and documentation.
6. Policy Implementation and Compliance:
Assist in the enforcement of IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
Maintain strong communication with the IT Manager, IT team, and other stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact for external vendors and support services as required.
8. SQL and SAP business one experience
SQL and SAP business one knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in IT support, with a strong focus on Datacentre and network support.
In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, server hardware, and storage systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
Skilled in scripting and processing automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
