As a System Engineer

, you will join our team in Peterborough to support our activities within the Automotive sector. You will join our

Electrical Systems & Advanced Machine Control team

. The project will focus on the design, integration, and lifecycle management of complex systems that underpin next-generation machine control technologies.


You'll play a pivotal role in shaping systems architecture, ensuring requirements are fully defined, integrated, and validated across the full product lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical and electronic background who thrives at the intersection of disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:



Define, capture, and manage engineering requirements. Lead system design and integration across electrical, mechanical, and software domains. Deliver verification and validation activities in alignment with the V-Model. Work with external suppliers and stakeholders where required to define specifications and integration requirements. Ensure designs adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.


Qualifications

Required Skills:



2-3 years of professional experience in systems engineering Strong foundation in mechanical and electronic engineering Proficiency with DOORS, MATLAB, and Simulink Familiarity with the V-Model systems lifecycle

Required Qualifications:



A

Bachelor's

or

Master's degree

in

Engineering

, or

equivalent

military experience

.

Desirable Skills:



Previous experience in Aerospace, Defence, or other safety-critical industries
