OVERALL SUMMARY

Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will contribute to the control function of the Finance team within Commercial Finance. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in performing balance sheet reconciliations for system control accounts (SAP, ALFA) whilst identifying causes of errors and omissions in the lending system ALFA with excellent computer literacy and confidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing and distributing weekly and month-end New Business and Loan Book
  • Liaising with lending system related queries received by the Finance team and provision of support to branch ALFA users (when related to Finance)
  • Assisting Finance Manager in daily and periodic finance data integrity tests by executing reports, handling correspondence with stakeholders and maintaining logs of outstanding problems
  • Providing ongoing back up to the Finance Manager and the Ops Finance team.
  • Actively supporting the Company's Vision & Values, ensuring it is promoted and adhered to within the team.
  • Providing lending system ALFA subject matter expertise to the branches and the wider finance team when needed, assisting in required calculations for on-going processes.
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance needs are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards needed.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF HAVE/ARE:
  • Experience working with finance computer systems
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and lookups are a must to have)
  • Understanding accounting concepts and routine gained from higher education, professional qualification or on-the-job learning
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
  • Experience working with ALFA, SAP ECC, Power BI
  • Ongoing training for accounting qualification
