We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Systems Development and Support Service working within Adult Social Care.

This role available is full time on a permanent basis and will be primarily based from home.

You will take a leading role in developing, maintaining and improving our key systems. You will ensure our systems are effective, and they meet the standards required, data is accurate, whilst also supporting staff in using the technology.

This will enable Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils to deliver a high-quality service to their customers, guaranteeing compliance with statutory requirements and undertaking on-going analysis to support effective service delivery.

Cumberland Council is currently delivering a hosted ICT Service for Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. The provision of these services will be disaggregated at a future date and employees will be TUPE allocated to one of the two Councils.


Key responsibilities



Maintain, support, and develop digital systems used within the Adult Social Care, ensuring they are reliable and fit for purpose. Develop and maintain relationships with Senior Managers, Operational Managers and system users to achieve success across Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils. Provide technical support and training to staff to ensure effective use of systems. Contribute and share ideas on improving digital systems across Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils. Project Management



Who we're looking for



To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge and experience of using the Liquidlogic Adults System. You will have good communication skills and can build relationships to help both Councils meet the needs of their residents. You will support systems users to harness the technology available to them as well as deliver training and ensure consistency so the ability to adapt your communication style to the required audience is key.

You will have an understanding of relevant local authority legislation including GDPR and Information Security. A team player who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.
