Description

We're building the next UK-headquartered engineering powerhouse.

There is a gulf between the needs of mission-focused organisations and the development and delivery of the critical technology they rely on. The consequences of this are felt acutely by underserved frontline operators, demanding a new breed of engineering enterprise to bridge this divide.

Rowden exists to meet this need. We design and build systems, infrastructure, and applications to deliver mission advantage to those working to protect the security of the UK and its allies. Rowden is setting a new standard in government technology provision: hyper-efficient engineering, better customer relationships, and rapid assimilation of commercial technology.

We're growing our team and looking for talented Systems Engineers to work on exciting projects that deliver real value to our key customers.

You'll join a diverse team of engineers at Rowden. You'll contribute to a hands-on engineering culture, sharing knowledge and lessons with the wider engineering team, and learn new things yourself along the way.###

Key areas of responsibility

As a delivery-focused Systems Engineer at Rowden, you'll work across several capability and technology areas to help define & deliver complex systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for:Providing systems engineering expertise across the project lifecycle; from requirements engineering, system design and architecture, to integration, verification and validation. Supporting the planning, management and delivery of engineering work packages using appropriate tools (e.g. JIRA). Translating user needs into technical guidance and specifications, adopting appropriate systems engineering methodologies. Maintaining appropriate design documentation utilising systems engineering tools and methods. Collaborating with product managers, project managers and the engineering team to help bring clarity from ambiguity and realise successful systems. Above all, bringing your systems-thinking approach to complex problems. Here at Rowden, our systems engineers are likely to be found doing both traditional systems engineering activities, but also getting hands-on to support the wider technical teams with development, procurement and test activities.
