Systems Implementation Officer

Durham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Are you ready to lead the rollout of a brand-new ICT system for Childrens Homes in County Durham?

Were seeking a proactive Systems Implementation Officer who can work collaboratively with service teams to design, build, and embed new digital system -- supporting staff every step of the way, from initial review through to rollout and ongoing support and improvement.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Youll play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of a brand-new ICT system for Childrens Homes within the CYPS service. Working closely with service managers and staff, youll:

Collaborate with the service to review existing processes and requirements, designing and building the system -- including forms and workflows -- to meet operational needs. Lead on system testing to ensure configuration and forms are fit for purpose. Setup, record, and monitor access arrangements in line with agreed protocols. Design, organise, and deliver practical training for staff, many of whom may have limited technical experience, ensuring everyone can use the system confidently. Produce clear and relevant documentation, such as user guides and procedures, and maintain comprehensive training records. Rollout the new system across multiple homes, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption. Provide ongoing support to users after rollout, resolving issues and queries as they arise. Contribute to project meetings, supporting the development of implementation plans, training and support programmes, and resolving significant issues. Maintain, monitor, and continually review the system to ensure it meets service requirements, implementing improvements in response to feedback, changing needs, and to improve data integrity and quality.
Youll help ensure the new system is embedded successfully and supports continuous improvement across the service.

Youll also help ensure our training programmes reflect industry standards and support continuous improvement across the service.

We encourage you to contact Andrew Grant-Soulsby via email at andrew.grant-soulsby@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Youll bring:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in business administration, ICT or information-related subject. Experience of providing support to IT systems users. Experience of using a large database and being involved in IT systems implementation projects. Ability to produce high-quality training materials and documentation. Experience using a wide range of ICT systems and software. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate and support users. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a flexible and proactive approach.
Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
