32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 Professional Development Days

Teaching Assistant Level 2

to join our growing team.


This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people who may have previously struggled to engage in education. As a TA2, you will help to create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils can develop emotionally, socially and academically.

Key responsibilities

Support teaching and learning within the classroom and across the school

Provide targeted support to secondary-aged pupils with ASD and emotional needs

Promote inclusion and positive relationships, ensuring every pupil feels safe and valued

Prepare and maintain resources and assist pupils in their use

Support the delivery of tailored learning and therapeutic activities

Record progress and feedback to teachers to support next steps in learning

Promote the school's A.C.E.R. values: Always try your best, Care for yourself and others, Emotional regulation, Ready to learn

Escort or accompany pupils to off-site learning or work experience where required

Support with supervision during breaks and lunchtime, maintaining a calm and positive environment

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a relevant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

Has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills

Has experience working with pupils with ASD, SEMH or other complex needs

Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Demonstrates patience, flexibility and resilience

Works effectively as part of a supportive team

Models professionalism, empathy and consistency at all times
