Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA3) to provide maternity cover within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting in Rochdale. This role is essential in supporting the educational development of young children, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families.

Duties

Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging learning activities tailored to the needs of EYFS children. Support children's learning through play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, including data entry tasks as required. Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's achievements and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to analyse information effectively. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable. Excellent phone etiquette for communicating with parents and external stakeholders. Ability to engage in upselling educational resources or activities that benefit children's learning experiences. Proficient data entry skills for maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Pay: 90.00-100.00 per day
