What is the role?



This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Academy as the Tactical Development Manager to ensure that the academy-wide game model is implemented throughout the academy across all age groups (U9s to U21s) in line with the phase-specific methodology in place.

The implementation of this game model will align with the club's IDP process and within the role you will ensure that this process is followed through all age groups, with the education of staff around the game model and management of tasks being a key component of the role.

What will you be doing?



You will lead the programme development for both training and games by implementing methodology in line with our game model and ensuring suitability for all age ranges across the Academy.

Player development is an important aspect of this role and you will continuously review the process of a world-leading player development curriculum (ensuring IDP / review/audit processes are being followed) alongside an effective monitoring process of the game model in relation to agreed coaching department KPIs (FIP tracking, coach updates) supporting the coach analyst department.

You will manage the decision-making process for player movement in line with the player IDP, using the Squad Planning Meeting as the tool to do this, alongside ensuring the players ' caregivers are clear in the program and continuously updated on progress throughout the season.

Supporting coach development and the CPD programme, you will lead on events that educate coaches around our game model and its implementation across the academy.

In addition to these responsibilities, this position will be the lead coach for the under-16 age group as well as line managing the under-13-16 phase of the club

Is this you?



You have a minimum of five years of coaching experience within an Academy or international youth environment, which has given you strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

With depth and quality experience within individual player development, you are able to demonstrate a strong level of technical and tactical football knowledge and game understanding.

UEFA A Licence or equivalent (Essential). FA Advanced Youth Award (Optional) Undergraduate degree in sports coaching, sports science, performance analysis, or related subject (desirable).
