We have a brilliant opportunity to become a Tactical Planner in our Non-Infra Planning & Scheduling Team!





The Planning & Scheduling function is a key part of our Water Treatment Department within Hafren Dyfrdwy. In this role you will work closely with the wider HD Water Treatment Planning & Scheduling Team, HD Water Treatment Operational teams, and Network Control to ensure that we are delivering an efficient and effective plan day to day across the HD area.





As a Tactical Planner you will be responsible for the in-day and future planning and management of all Operational and Maintenance tasks within any of our Non-Infra HD work centres. This will involve using SAP to build, amend and manage tasks, and CLICK to dispatch and monitor the day's plan.





Day to day you will be a core point of contact for the HD Operational teams and Network Control to support the day's plan, and ensure any reactive requirements or issues are managed. You will also be key in providing understanding and insight specific to the performance of your work centre/s and ensuring that we are delivering the highest standards of service for our customers.

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:




To create and manage an efficient and effective plan for the HD Water Treatment Teams.

To be the core contact for progress or amendments to the plan both 'on the day' and into the future.

To manage the plan within Click- dispatching the work to the teams and managing the plan 'on the day'- tasks in jeopardy, tasks suspended or tasks needing to be re-arranged.

Work closely with Planning and Scheduling colleagues, Water Treatment Operations and Network Control to ensure amendments to the plan are minimal where possible.

To manage tasks based on priority and service level agreement and ensure we are performing to the highest standard possible based on resource available.

To organise and lead weekly Planning and Maintenance meetings.

To work alongside Water Treatment Operations and the Asset Care Team to ensure all tasks are fit for purpose and required.

Help to highlight any problematic assets causing repeat visits due to repeat issues or alarms.

To use Power Business Intelligence to help your Operational Team Managers better understand their work centre/s performance.

To build follow on tasks, or additional jobs/ tasks within SAP.

To manage 'SAP housekeeping' within your work centre. This means ensuring superseded tasks are removed, time allocated to tasks is accurate, suspended and rejected tasks are handled and all relevant tasks are correctly 'technically completed'.

To liaise with the Planning Assistant and arrange Operational presence at sites taking deliveries.

Working with the Capital teams to provide insight and information on wanted or proposed works.

To support the team Planning Assistant as and when required with ordering, receipting, and managing time admin requests for your work centre/s.

To further build relationships within HD and with STW through working in a collaborative manner with all stakeholders and teams. The goal being to achieve quality throughout the end-to-end process of Water Treatment Planning & Scheduling and all associated processes.

Achieve the team's agreed performance targets and ensure SLAs are met.

Participate in team comm cells and take on ad hoc work stream activity as required.
