Hours:

Part-time, ~16-24 hours per week

We're looking for a skilled and approachable Tailor & Customer Service Assistant to join our Selfridges team. This role blends hands-on alteration work with customer interaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Tailoring primarily denim alterations on shop floor, including but not limited to the following skills:

Hemming denim (original and plain finishes) Waist adjustments Machine darning Zip replacements Blind hand-felling Fit customers in a variety of garments, providing clear, professional alteration advice. Deliver friendly, confident, and attentive customer service in a busy retail environment. Put orders through our online booking flow, then take customer details and payment. Collect deliveries and and neatly organise into our stockroom. Be a reliable member of close-knit team, providing punctuality, positivity, and a willingness to learn.

What We're Looking For:

Good written and spoken English language skills. Experience in denim alterations is essential. Confidence working directly with customers. Strong weekend availability. Excellent communication skills, with customers and your fellow tailors. A team-focused attitude.

What We Offer:

16-24hrs work per week, primarility weekend and weeknight (days are flexible) availibilty. London Living Wage and above - 13.15 to 15.50 per hour, depending on experience and time commitment. Free tailoring and repairs through the SOJO app or web for up to 5 items per year.
