Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Clothing Alterations & Repairs Operative to join our growing team. This is a two part

universal role

, combining

warehouse duties

with specialist

garment repair work

.

Important: Please ensure you only apply for this role, if you have 2 years (minimum) experience in clothing alterations.



It's a part time

position with the requirement for flexibility, as there will be overtime and some periods where full time hours are needed to provide holiday cover for other staff members, so the successful candidate

must

be flexible

and able to take on extra hours at short notice, you will be given time off in lieu for the extra hours worked.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, has strong sewing and repair skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Role Overview



This is a

mixed-duty role

:

Approximately 70%

of the role will involve warehouse work, see warehouse role details down below.

Approximately 30%

of the role will involve repairing and altering motorcycle clothing, including zips, seams, linings and damaged materials.

Key Responsibilities



Garment Repairs & Alterations



Repairing and replacing zips, fastenings and closures Stitching and reinforcing seams Repairing damaged panels and fabric Ensuring all motorcycle garments meet high safety and quality standards Inspecting garments before and after repair

Skills & Experience Required



2-3 years' experience in clothing alterations and garment repairs

(essential) Experience working with

heavy-duty or technical fabrics

(such as motorcycle or workwear) is highly desirable Ability to carry out

high-quality, durable stitching and zip replacements

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment Good attention to detail and quality control Reliable, organised and able to manage both repair and warehouse tasks

Warehouse role



The role involves regular heavy lifting and working alongside one warehouse staff member, so the candidate must be physically capable and comfortable working in a hands on warehouse environment.

Job Summary



Picking and packing orders daily in time for courier collection Unloading deliveries, which can be physically demanding due to early 7am starts and heavy lifting! Checking deliveries against paperwork Keeping the warehouse and clean Ensuring toilets are cleaned General gardening maintenance around the outside of the building Keeping shelves fully stocked Carrying out other reasonable duties as required Listing products for sale on eBay

Hours of work



Variable hours contract 20 hours per week Monday to Thursday, five hours each day (most likely be 8.30am - 1.30pm) Saturday shift, once every 2 months (most likely 9.00am - 12.00pm)

Job pay



11,200 - 13,250 per year
