Duties

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Support the culinary team with various tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as directed. Engage with customers by providing information about menu items and upselling specials when appropriate. Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and managing stock levels. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude towards helping others and contributing positively to the work environment. Ability to thrive in a busy atmosphere while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: 12.61-13.69 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
