Takeaway Assistant/cook
Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional individual who loves food and are used to working in a busy environment. We focus on experience in addition to finding passionate foodies who care about great service, who want to learn more and who are not afraid of hard work.
As part of the takeaway team you will be in a fast paced environment that prides itself on delivering an excellent customer experience.
Preparing and cooking food
Taking food and drink orders
Serving customers
Completing the required health and safety checks.
Meeting and greeting customers
Operating the cash register and receive payment from customers in cash or by credit/debit cards
Keeping the place of work clean and tidy
Promoting positive customer relations
Working Hours
Approx 16 hours per week, working both Friday and Sunday.
Requirements and core behaviours for this role:

Know and learn about the food we sell: What it tastes like; how to cook it; store it; prepare it; what goes well with it etc.
Engage customers by sharing product knowledge
Communicate positively and politely with customers and other team members anticipating their needs and making sure their experience is as good as it can be
Making a difference to someone's day
Follow company policies and procedures relating to process, product and people
The ability to be flexible with weekly working hours when needed.
Previous experience of working in a customer focused food retail environment would be advantageous as cooking food is an essential part of the role.
