We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Takeaway team member to join our busy food service establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food to customers, ensuring a high standard of food safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Prepare takeaway orders accurately and efficiently, following established recipes and standards Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with basic maths skills Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and serving areas Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and packaging meals Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfilment Upsell additional menu items where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities Maintain organised workstations and stock levels, reporting any shortages or issues promptly

Honesty about your experience is essential. Kitchen work requires practical skills, and any lack of experience will be very obvious once you are in the kitchen. We are happy to train the right person, but applicants must be honest from the start

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is a plus Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
