Job Purpose
The Takeaway Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the takeaway counter by taking orders accurately, assembling food orders, preparing packaging, and delivering fast, friendly service. The purpose of this role is to ensure all takeaway and delivery customers receive the same high standard of quality and professionalism as dine-in guests. This position contributes directly to the speed, efficiency, and reliability of the takeaway operations at Olympus.

This is a
fast-paced
role and will require you to work efficiently and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Takeaway Manager / Restaurant Manager
Key Responsibilities
Core duties:
Provide excellent customer service at the takeaway counter and via phone.
Take accurate customer orders and input them into the EPOS system.
Prepare and assemble takeaway orders and restaurant plating as required.
Prepare delivery orders accurately and ensure they are complete and well-packed.
Restock ingredients, drinks, packaging, and condiments to maintain service flow.
Maintain cleanliness of the takeaway area throughout service hours.
Follow all food hygiene, safety, and allergen-awareness regulations.
Maintain Olympus' recognised high standards of quality and presentation.
Additional duties may include:
Cash handling and taking card payments.
Assisting with general cleaning and organisation tasks across the shift.
Supporting kitchen staff with minor tasks during busy periods.
Skills & Experience Required
Customer service experience preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to follow instructions.
Positive attitude with pride in work quality.
Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety (training provided if required).
Works on own initiative
Has a positive attitude to work and learning
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 14 per week
