Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Takeaway team member to join our busy food service establishment. This role involves preparing and serving food to customers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Duties

Prepare takeaway orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards Serve customers at the counter or via delivery platforms with professionalism and courtesy Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during preparation and serving Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling dishes and packaging orders Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas Manage multiple orders simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively during busy periods Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities Handle cash transactions accurately and operate point-of-sale systems Support team members in ensuring smooth operation during shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Basic maths skills for handling payments and order calculations Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
