About

Fixatex

Fixatex is a 25 year old company delivering electrical services, fire alarms, and emergency lighting to clients all over London and the Southeast. We're a family owned and operated firm with our head office, warehouse, and dedicated training centre in Hertford.

We take pride in the personal relationships we develop with our clients and their residents. We build these connections when ensuring residents homes are electrically safe, when replacing lighting to make estates safer at night and sometimes just over a cup of tea when talking to a residents committee.

Our culture is shaped by our values: Care Like Its Family, Ownership at Every Level, One Team with Integrity and Keep Raising the Bar.

The Role

We're looking for a recruiter who knows the industry inside-out, takes pride in their craft and loves working with people and data. This role is more than filling vacancies - it's about helping us attract, hire, and retain the very best people who will take Fixatex into the future and stay for the journey.

You'll be at the heart of our growth strategy, ensuring every hire reflects our ambition to be

best-in-class

,

expand our services

and aligns

with our people-centred, family-run business culture. From apprentices and engineers to operational leaders, you'll connect with people who share our passion for quality, teamwork, and integrity.

What

You'll

Do

Own the end-to-end recruitment process across Fixatex. Build strong pipelines of talent, using both traditional and creative sourcing methods. Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and deliver strong shortlists. Champion our culture and values in every candidate interaction, ensuring that candidates are assessed for their cultural match to the company. Directly support interviews as and when required, primarily seeking to build internal hiring team capability over time. Manage candidate experience from first contact through to onboarding. Work closely
with People Ops to facilitate smooth onboarding and reporting.
Introduce and embed recruitment technologies (such as AI sourcing tools, scheduling platforms, assessment methods) to streamline workflows, improve key TA metrics and the candidate experience. Track and report on recruitment metrics using our ATS (Bamboo), making recommendations for improvements that accelerate our People Strategy. Promote Fixatex as an employer of choice in the industry. Play a key role in building a workforce that supports our best-in-class strategy, including building a long term approach to talent at Fixatex (e.g. our apprenticeship program)

What You Bring

Proven experience recruiting within the
electrical contracting industry

or an adjacent sector.
Strong networks and a deep understanding of the skills, qualifications and qualities needed for success. A passion for finding, engaging, and placing great talent. Pride in your craft - you care about quality, relationships, and long-term fits. A curiosity and interest in sourcing and implementing new technology. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will have an opportunity to build out the Talent arm of our People Function, and will need to work independently with a high ownership attitude. Excellent communication and influencing skills. A values-driven approach that aligns with the Fixatex culture.

Benefits

We have built a team focussed culture where our people work and play together. Working at Fixatex means you're not alone; you will be helped by your peers, supported by your managers, and visited by our senior management team who've spent decades 'on the tools' and want to know how you're getting on. We're proud of the fact that we are a family owned and operated company, and every person at Fixatex is a part of that.

Our benefits include:

Competitive salaries Private healthcare contribution A holiday allowance that increases with length of service Sick pay policies that reflect our belief in supporting wellbeing A supportive working environment that recognises we're all humans and sometimes need some extra flexibility Encouragement to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities with training and development available Regular team events where we have fun, socialise and celebrate our achievements Providing the test equipment and protective kit you need to deliver your role
