About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Advisor to join our growing People team at Matalan.



This role is key to supporting the growth and development of colleagues across our business. You'll work collaboratively to design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions - both face-to-face and digitally - ensuring they align with our Talent strategy and make a real business impact.



From building strong stakeholder relationships to creating engaging learning experiences, you'll play a vital role in helping our colleagues thrive. You'll also manage elements of our digital learning platform, support onboarding and leadership development, and bring fresh ideas for innovative, blended learning solutions.

About You

You'll bring:


Experience and confidence in delivering and facilitating all aspects of the training cycle, including training needs analysis and evaluation Experience designing and developing digital and face-to-face learning solutions Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ideally within Head Office, Retail, or Logistics settings A commercial mindset, ensuring learning interventions deliver measurable business impact L&D/Training-related qualifications (CIPD, CTP, coaching, or psychometrics) - desirable but not essential
