We are pleased to be working with a prestigious and long-standing organisation based on the outskirts of Radlett, Hertfordshire. They are recruiting for a brand-new role as part of their long-term plan to ensure they are an employer of choice within their sector, with their Talent Development Manager playing a key part in the ongoing development and retention of their staff.

Responsible for talent management and development, along with the L&D and recruitment strategy, this person will recruit and lead a team to effectively manage these areas whilst being hands on in rolling out new processes. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record within talent development/talent management who can develop and implement both strategy and processes in order for the organisation to meet its People goals.

Role to include:

  • Create, implement and deliver the multifaceted Talent Management and Talent Development Plan
  • Lead on the Annual Plan, achieving buy-in from SLT and Managers, in order to develop organisational stability, a consistent message and develop both succession and retention of employees.
  • Create, implement and deliver an L&D offer for the organisation
  • Actively seek feedback and implement improvement plans to develop a robust L&D offer ensuring it supports the organisations commitment to staff development and maximises opportunities.
  • Manage the Talent Management Team to support and guide the organisation with all facets of Talent and Talent development
  • Manage and develop CRM systems including ATS, Talent Management and L&D systems ensuring they are robust and future proof to support the strategic objectives
  • Coordinate and business partner with members of SLT for recruitment of leadership/senior roles, providing guidance, advice throughout the process, ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Manage the TD&I annual budget, including reforecasts and planning, with a focus on ROI, to support with financial sustainability.
  • Manage the UKVI sponsorship status for the organisation
  • Support the Director of People and Culture provide advice and support to the Governing body through the People Committee.
  • Lead and influence the EDI&B agenda, in collaboration with Director of People and Culture
  • Review existing talent and performance activity/processes, to enhance and introduce new value add activity in the talent and performance space.
  • Lead and deliver Talent & Performance projects including idea generation, design and implementation collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for training and communications related to talent & performance
  • Leading the definition and delivery of the diversity and inclusion strategy, setting key metrics and tracks performance against these.
Candidate requirements:
  • In depth knowledge of Talent development and talent management
  • Excellent knowledge of Talent & Performance systems / tools
  • Experience of talent acquisition and career path mapping/succession planning
  • Strong planning & organisational skills
  • Innovative thinking and creative and pragmatic problem solving
  • Excellent communication facilitation and presentation skills
  • Influencing skills across colleagues and line managers
  • Able to work as a team player in a complex, cross functional, operational
environment * Pro-active self-starter, with ability to flexibly adapt to change
