Duties
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food production activities.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu.
Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Develop new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
