The Role
We are looking for a part-time Taproom Supervisor, to help run the day-to-day bar operations, create an inviting, relaxing space for regular and new customers alike, and lead the team in all aspects of customer service and craft beer. You will report to the Taproom Manager, taking the lead in their absence, as well as supervising all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
This is a part-time role to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays Thurs-Sun. There may also be additional hours available for holiday cover/special events, but generally, we anticipate core hours for this role would be during Taproom opening hours. This is also a customer-facing role and as such you will be expected to be a front-line ambassador for the Brewery. Key responsibilities include:
Support the Taproom Manager by leading a dedicated Taproom team, including training and shift-planning
Briefing staff on their responsibilities pre-opening and on shift
Completing opening/closing checks and ensuring that the Taproom is kept clean and tidy at all times
Taking orders from customers, serving drinks, leading all aspects of customer service
Stock control and cellar management (quality checks, line cleaning, changing over beer lines of kegs, gas changes etc)
Ensure Health and Safety policies and practices are adhered to, and uphold high hygiene standards. Report all incidents
Requirements
Demonstrable passion for craft beer and customer service
Hospo and bar experience preferable
Strong cellar management skills
Strong leadership communication skills
Strong customer-facing skills
Proactive attitude to drive the Taproom forward
People person with a strong community focus
Flexibility with working hours
Permission to work in the UK
