Tarmac Operative/hotbox Driver
Job Description
We have a job opportunity for a skilled tarmac operative/hotbox driver for immediate start.
You will be working on a Gas contract throughout the North as part of a 3 man hotbox team
Previous experience in the utility industry is a must with the ability to turn out work to a very high standard with previous experience using the day to day plant that is involved in this role, Cut off saw, Rammer, Vib plate, Ped roller.
Working hours are 6am - 4pm Monday to Friday with overtime available most weekends.
A full Uk driving licence is essential
Class 2 licence essential.
Streetworks card desirable.
This is a full time permanent position either on the books or self employed, 50 hours a week Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm with overtime available most weekends.
Shea Gas training, manual handling,abrasive wheels and banksman training will be provided.
You will be required to pass a drugs test before a place on an induction will be offered.
There is a clean shave policy in place by our client which requires all operatives to turn up to work clean shaven, no facial hair this is a strict health and safety policy that must be adhered to.
Interviews will be taking place at our Birtley depot week commencing 01/09/25
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
