The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable

Accountant

to join our team. The successful candidate will handle a portfolio of clients and be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and tax services, including

CT600s, company accounts, VAT returns

, and

Self Assessment

tax returns. Familiarity with the

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

would be beneficial, as we support a number of subcontractor clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and submission of

CT600s

and

statutory accounts

Filing of

VAT returns

, including compliance with Making Tax Digital Completion and filing of

Self Assessment

tax returns Use of

Xero accounting software

for bookkeeping, reporting, and client management Client communication and liaison with HMRC as needed Supporting subcontractor clients where relevant, particularly in relation to

CIS

deductions and reporting

Requirements:

Experience working in a UK-based public practice accountancy firm Proficiency in preparing company accounts, tax returns, and VAT filings Working knowledge of

Xero

accounting software (certification a plus) Awareness of the

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

and its application Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
Salary negotiable and based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
