Join Our Team as a Tax Compliance Manager at ING!

Are you a qualified tax professional with a passion for VAT compliance and a knack for leveraging technology to improve processes? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Manager to join our thriving London tax department.

What you will be doing:

VAT Compliance :

Take ownership of the VAT return calculation and preparation process, including quarterly Partial Exemption, Annual Adjustment, and CGS calculations.

Documentation Management :

Update and maintain VAT invoice logs and procedural documentation.

Technology Implementation :

Play a key role in using and implementing technology (e.g., Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI) to enhance VAT/Tax processes.

HMRC Correspondence :

Assist with correspondence and meetings with HM Revenue & Customs, including handling information requests and audits.

Tax Support :

Provide support to Directors and VPs on advisory transactions and special projects.

Stakeholder Interaction :

Address ad hoc questions from internal and external stakeholders.

Direct Tax Compliance :

Involvement in compliance computation cycles for Direct Taxes (Corporation tax, Bank Levy, and Group reporting).

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications :

Essential:

Qualified Tax professional (preferably CTA or ACA), trained with a reputable firm, within industry, or HMRC.

Desirable:

Additional relevant tax, accounting, or banking qualifications.

Experience :

Essential:

Working knowledge and experience of UK VAT compliance, advanced Excel skills.

IT systems

Desirable:

Financial services experience

UK corporate tax knowledge ? Personal Competencies :

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Adaptive to new challenges and willingness to learn.

Ability to work to firm deadlines.

Team player.
