Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive UK Tax & Accounting Liaison Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines tax compliance responsibilities with coordination across our real estate development and asset management operations.

You will be responsible for preparing and submitting UK corporation tax returns and partnership tax returns for our internal entities and a client within our real estate asset management business. The role is deeply embedded in our core activities, which include managing and developing UK-based real estate assets. You'll also act as the liaison between our team and external accountants and tax advisors, ensuring smooth communication, compliance, and implementation of tax strategies.

Key responsibilities:



Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns and partnership tax returns. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all tax filings, including VAT, SDLT, and CIS. Review and validate tax computations, capital allowance reports, and supporting documentation. Maintain and manage the tax filing calendar, ensuring deadlines are met. Liaise with HMRC regarding submissions, disclosures, and enquiries. Act as the primary liaison between the team and external accountants and tax advisors. Monitor and report on the performance and activities of appointed advisors. Coordinate the implementation of tax advice and restructuring recommendations. Monitor changes in UK tax laws and regulations and ensure timely updates to the team. Support the preparation and filing of SDLT returns and capital allowance reports. Assist with tax audits, enquiries, assessments, and notices from UK tax authorities. Ensure compliance with obligations under the construction industry scheme (CIS). Facilitate the provision of information to auditors and respond to audit-related queries. Focus tax compliance efforts on the team's real estate development and asset management activities.

Requirements:



Experience in preparing UK corporate tax returns and partnership tax returns. Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation and HMRC systems. Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) preferred. Experience with capital allowances, SDLT, VAT, and CIS compliance. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and organizational capabilities. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-70,000.00 per year
